Sorrento
Walk Around
Walk around the town (Corso Italia) and explore but honestly there’s not much to do. If you plan on buying sandals they are cheapest here.
Cooking Class
Great rainy day activity! Learn to cook like a local.
Sorrento Pasta Masterclass
"The cooking class was AMAZING! They don’t accept groups over 7. We made three different types of pasta and then had a stunning lunch it was beyond"
Rating: 10/10

Bagni della regina Giovanna
Beautiful area about a 10 min drive or 40 min walk from Sorrento. You can hike, swim and explore. Get there early to get a good spot on the rocks and bring a towel! Total hidden gem!
Maya Beach Club
No reservation..no problem (at least in September!). You may have to spend around $300 minimum for food, drinks and 3 sunbeds but that is actually a good price for Amalfi!
Valley of the Mills
Check out the abandoned ruins of Sorrento!
I Giardini di Cataldo - Lemon Garden
Free view of the lemon garden
Lemons aren’t always in season but still pretty to visit. Also offers tours, gelato, and a restaurant. Not a MUST do, but a nice to do if you’re looking
Public Beach
We found a great public beach option by the port! It's not huge but it is a great place to cool off and relax!
Positano
Ferry To Positano
Take the ferry there, it will drop you off on the beach. Explore the town, shop, and relax on the beach all day. They have stands to rent paddle boards. Plan to set up a car service or cab on the way home bc ferries stop running early.
Bus to Positano
If there are no ferry's due to weather you can always take a bus to Positano and explore the village. It is a €5 bus ticket and is 1 hour by bus or can arrange a car through hotel or airbnb. Taxi’s are very expensive so better to avoid.
Positano Beaches
Positano Spiaggia Grande (Marina Grande Beach), Fornillo Beach, Arienzo Beach, and Laurito Beach. Positano Spiaggia Grande is the most famous and the one you see in all the photos.
Path of the Gods
This is an incredible hike for the most amazing views of the Amalfi Coast. There are a lot of options in terms of distance and level of hike but we like the option that deposits you in Positano (you would need to get a ride back to your home town).
MAR Museum
The museum is a series of archeological excavations of old crypts and an ancient Roman villa with a beautifully preserved fresco.
Cooking Class
Enjoy "the most fun cooking class" at Buca di Bacco in Positano! Great for extended stays in the Amalfi Coast.
Capri
Private Small Boat Cruise
Perfect boat day for up to 6 people. Spend the day on this private cruise!
Private Boat Cruise
Another great option recommended to us by a student!
Chair Lift For Views
You can take a taxi to the chair lift (not the cable car) ride 13 minutes up to the top of Capri to STUNNING views, then 13 min down. It is a single person chair btw and costs $14 per person. A MUST!!!
Pompei
En Route to Sorrento
A great option when you are heading from the Naples Airport to the Amalfi Coast is a stop in Pompei. It is super easy and well worth it if you have the time! Do the guided tour so you get all the cool information.
Wine & Dine
If you decide to spend longer in Pompei this is a great activity! The wine tasting includes lunch at Bosco De Medici. €50 per person
Food & Wine Tour
This is a great option if Pompei is on your list but you are leaving from Rome!
