Things to Know For Your Weekend
*You have to cab everywhere. They are not too expensive but they only fit 4 people.
*A lot of the beach clubs open starting in May!
*If you come in the cooler months the itinerary will be different than warm weather.
*Some people rent a car. If you plan to go to Soller or some of the other local day trips, it might make sense.
*There is a ferry from Mallorca to Barcelona but it takes 8 hours and is NOT recommended.

Assaona Gastrobeach Club Palma
Great option! Sunbeds are €40 for the day. Has great food options too!
Gran Folie's Beach Club
An absolute must! INSANE. The chairs are reasonably priced ($100, two beds, one umbrella) for the amazing service and insane views. Cliff to jump from and great lunch and drinks with even better beach time and views. Open from May-October.
Purobeach Beach Club
UNREAL! They charge around $245 but $110 goes towards food and drinks so totally worth it if you are willing to splurge! "We stayed all day, complimentary lunch,
smoothie shots, nuts/snacks included with the sun-bed. Highly recommend!" Open April-Novemeber
Balneario Illetas Beach Club
A good beach club, relatively private and the water is beautiful. You can also have lunch here and get drinks. The chair was about $40 - lunch and drinks were not too expensive.
Cala Comptessa Beach
Local public beach. "I found this beach when I was here with locals it’s really pretty and such a unique European experience (there were a lot of topless people). There’s also a restaurant and bar with good food and drinks"
Cala S’almunia Beach
Rock beach with insane views. Very instagrammable. Need to drive or cab to get there.
Caló des Borgit Beach
A small bay on the south east coast of Mallorca, just around the corner from Cala Mondrago and within the protected Mondrago Natural Park
Caló des Moro Beach
Calo des Moro is an incredibly beautiful beach situated deep inside a bay with sheer cliffs. Can be tricky to find but worth it.
Cala Llombards Beach
Good beach option for swimming and snorkeling. Very secluded.
Other Activities
BonaOna Surf
Choose between Surfing, Stand Up Paddle or Kayaking. Available depending on season.
Drach Caves
1 hour tour ends with a concert. Need ticket with specific booking time. You go as a group so may be families, etc. 50 min from Palma
Sea Caving
Lots to choose from this company but we heard the sea caving is great!
Hippy Market
Cute market to walk around on the weekends. In Magaluf. Open Thursday to Sunday, 18:30-23:00, seasonally.
Hiking
Cala Sant Vicenc - Puig de l’Àguila - Penyal Roig
Rreally really pretty hike. " You have to
go behind a gate which feels sketch but once you are through it is so pretty. It is about 4 miles." You would need to take a taxi to get here but it is worth it!
Soller Day Trip
Visiting Soller
There is a nice port town there that is super cute and then the city was also really nice. Public transportation is available but is definitely a trek. May want to just take a taxi there and back or drive if you have a car. Grab gelato at Sa Fabrica De Gelats - really yummy! This is a great option if you are in Mallorca for an extra day. You can do the guided tour which includes transport.
Melia Palma Bay
Really great option! Book well in advance!! Doubles approx $75 per night, per person.
Hotel Aya
"In Playa de Palma on the beach and it was a great location. We preferred to be on the beach and didn’t mind not being near the clubbing. It was right on the water and the restaurants around us were really good too. We also had a really good and cheap hotel bar which was a first for us this semester." Doubles with a garden view approx $94 per person, per night.
Boc Hostels
It is very communal if that’s something you’re okay with. All rooms share bathrooms. Pro: 10 mins away from the airport. Private double approx $75 per night, per person.
Leonardo Royal Hotel
A little outside Palma, but inexpensive, great pool, right on the beach, boardwalk and so many restaurants nearby. Comfort room, sleeps 3, approx $50 per night, per person
Tomir Portal Suites
Located in Puerto Portals, a little outside Palma. Very good option! Junior suite (sleeps 2), approx $80 per night, per person.
Hotel Costa Azul
Good option. They will do 3 singles beds in one room. Approx $105 per night, per person.
AC Hotel Ciutat De Palma
This is a Marriott. On the expensive side but a good option if you are willing to spend. More of a city feel. Triples approx $230 per night, per person
H10 Casa Del Mar
Great beachfront location on the Santa Ponça beach. During high season it may have a 5 night minimum. Low season doubles approx $75 per person, per night.
