Good To Know
*Stay in St. Julian’s Bay which is a 20 min bus ride from Valetta which is the more historical area
*Malta is much less expensive than nearby Amalfi.
*You can visit here off season and still have a great, "beachy" experience.
*You really don't need more than 2 days here unless it is summer (which gets extremely hot!)
*Uber is inexpensive and the easiest way to get around.
*Itineraries don't account for relaxing by the pool or beach but in nice weather this is a great spot for it!
*High season is typically from July to September!

Boat Trips
We recently heard this company is another great option for boat trips!
Jet Skiing
An absolute must!! Amazing reviews and so much fun! Get a drink at Sensi Lido Bar after!
Sights
Popeye Village
A must! The village is like a small amusement park without rides. Only €11 to enter and def worth it.
Hagar Qim & Mnjarda Temples
Lots of history here and not expensive. The Megalithic Temples of Malta are among the most ancient religious sites on Earth, described by the World Heritage Sites committee as "unique architectural masterpieces."
Blue Grotto
The Blue Grotto is a complex of sea caves along the Southeastern part of Malta and is a popular (must-visit!) tourist attraction. The blue waters are insane. Boat doesn’t always run bc weather dependent. You can schedule a tour or go by small boat from Wied Iz Zurrieq. It's well signed and organized and lasts around 30 minutes per visit. This is also a good area to view the sunset.
Upper Barrakka Gardens
Pretty garden area with great views of the city. If you walk down stairs there is a €2 ferry to 3 Cities. Located in Valletta
Hypogeum
A Neolithic subterranean structure dating to the Saflieni phase (3300 – 3000 BC) in Maltese prehistory. Must book tickets early!
Three Cities of Malta
The 3 cities - Birgu (Vittoriosa) , Cospicua and Sanglea - just on the other side of the Grand Harbor - the other side as you look from Valletta on towards the harbor. Best to explore by foot!
St. Julian's Beaches
There are four main beaches in St. Julian's with St George's Bay being the most popular. There is a sports kiosk there for paddle boats, canoes, etc. We also like Golden Bay Beach which has a nice cafe. If you are looking for a true beach experience in Malta you may want to go to Gozo or in Northern Malta.
