Good To Know!
*DO NOT book tours that do not include transportation. There are very few options to get around so you need the tours to provide transport.
*The days are long and you are waking up early to go to different activities. Keep that in mind while planning!
*It is a trek to get here but is totally worth it!

Connected to to the lobby of Hotel Skaret. "Classic hot pot. It was actually really good and easy for the first night. There was a hot pot that can boil the food in the broth and a mini grill. Came with meat, vegetables, and rice. We tried reindeer and it was gross but cool to experience"

Trip Advisor
The Arctic Cathedral
Very cool cathedral by the bridge. The cathedral is a landmark visible from the Tromsø Sound, the Tromsø Bridge and when landing in Tromsø by plane.
Arctic Fjord Sightseeing Cruise in Luxury Catamaran
Great way to see the Arctic Circle. You may even see whales!
Fjellheisen
Cable car to the top of the mountain. SICK! You can walk around the top and eat in the restaurant. Best views of the city. Can occasionally see the Northern Lights from here depending on weather. Can do day or night but if there is wind they will shut down so often better to try earlier in the day.
Husky Sledding
So fun and totally worth it! Highly rated activity
Northern Lights Tour by Car
Incredibly meaningful and memorable experience. Highly recommend. You can travel outside of Tromsø and see the Northern Lights. They set up a campfire in the most amazing spot. Make sure to wear the gear they provide because the snow can be very deep. Eat before unless you want dried reindeer and cod (and the gluten free/vegan chili was not gf). They do provide hot chocolate and smores! Tour is at night and lasts 6-8 hours.
Northern Lights Tour By Boat
"We did the northern lights tour on a boat. Some people recommend a car bc you have a better chance of seeing them but we saw them very clearly. Definitely was very cold from the wind whipping off the water but we got to see the city from a different perspective too. The moon was so bright and the stars were out and it was a great night."
Polaria Aquarium
Amazing and probably a good activity when it’s really cold and you need to warm up. Can buy tickets there and see a really cool seal show
Pust Sauna & Polar Plunge
INCREDIBLE!! Dani and Jordyn gave it a 10000000/10. It is a sauna on the most beautiful dock. You must do the polar plunge in the freshest, most refreshing water and then head to the sauna just steps away.
Snowshoe Hike & Husky Camp
Snowshoe along Kvaloya, Norway's fourth largest island with a pack of dogs and puppies. What could be better!!!
Skaret by Vanders
Sea view bedrooms are INSANE but we heard that there is very limited staff and the students who stayed here had trouble getting clean towels and soap. Having said that, they would still recommend! Prices seem to be around $200-$300 per night, per person but there are a bunch of option. These are apartment style accomodations.
Tromso Coco Apartments
Nice, clean, low key hostel. May have to book through bookings.com but unclear. Advice would be to contact hotel directly first.
Tromso Activities Hostel
Highly recommend. Very lively atmosphere but clean and safe. Approx $65 per night.
Airbnb
Great option when in visiting! Fits up to 6 people.
No Stress Bar
Cocktail bar and you order on your phone. Cool drinks, good vibes, and they have board games for you to play.
Clarion Hotel Rooftop Bar
Expensive but locals say it is a great place for drinks and to catch a sunset!
